Let it be Your Love

I attended a wedding 10 years ago that I recall fondly.
As the bride walked down the aisle,
she walked
slowly.
She took deep,
cleansing
breaths.
And she looked at each guest,
Making eye contact.
Her eyes were gentle,
warm and dewy.
She took in that entire room.
Her presence
took my breath away
and made a deep imprint on me.

Today as I took my morning walk,
this image returned to me.
And I heard a voice say,
“Move through the world as a bride.
Take in all of the guests.
The blooming trees, oil stained pavement, water drops on grass,
the funny little hummingbird, the bees hanging on sagebrush,
dense flowering shrubbery and the avocado on the street that fell from a tree.
They are here for you.
With you.
Be present with each one.
And whatever you are moving toward,
let it be your Love.”
The graveyard, the mountain, my house.
My Love.
